This camera has been out for quite some time, so the price has gone down and can be purchased refurbished on brand new on Amazon.com for a good price...A good idea with this camera as with any camera is to get it cleaned/checked otu once a year to make sure everything is working as it should be...It contains 10 megapixels, creating a sharp and detailed picture! It's also quite small and light!...

However, I was bought a Nikon D40 for my 40th birthday in June...I was really happy with it and so in July took just short of 300 photos on my holiday...Burgy, on the D40, the Mirror Lock Up mode is specifically for cleaning the sensor (or inspecting it) rather than for reducing vibrations from mirror slap...Thinking about it, even in the vibration reducing mirror lock up mode...

well the D50 and K100D are going to be the better options overall...The d40 and e500 are good options as well, though you'll have a lot fewer lens choices and features...The d40 will only autofocus with Nikon afs or Sigma hsm lenses...I have added the Canon XTI to my list, and the Nikon D40...
