I HAVE ONE AND COMPLAINED ABOUT SOFT FOUCUS ISSUES IN THE PAST ,HAD THE CAMERA SENT IN RECALIBRATED ,NEW FOCUS MOTOR AND THEN THEY MADE A FIRMWARE UPGRADE...Please download and install the latest firmware for your D70 which includes improvements in the auto focus software...The D70 makes a wonderfull picture quality and none of the more expensive high end models perform any better, at...

I had a good opportunity to sell it and bought the 20mmAFD F2.8...If you got lots of time to compose you might as well shot F8-F11 from a tripod, shade with you hand in addition to using a hood and then there is no difference and either lens is good...On my D70 the 20mmAFD is a great walk around lens but the image quality is just OK and not excellent...Third choice my D70 with the 12-24mm...

Well, there are going to be pros and cons to either model (size, weight, cost, features, lens availabilty, etc...What are you planning to take photos of, in what conditions, and why do you think your existing lenses are not suitable (I'm not saying they are, I'm just curious how you came to that conclusion...For example, that 50mm f/1.4 lens would give you a 35mm equivalent focal length of...

Well, don't believe the hype but it is pretty darn good...So I put them both on a tripod, put them next to eachother and fired some shots...I think that the Fuji is always at least two stops behind the D70 when it comes to noise...
