If I were you, I would look into what range of lenses you're looking for (I believe both camera's sensors are similar to the APS-C format) and how they're offered on each format...Honestly, the D90 and the 500D are both good cameras: it's the lens that brings them to life, and the photographer that makes the photo...It's a much more recent model, for example video capability...

The good news is we got some great video for the Kelby Training Videos...Kelby Training not to be undone, discovered thru a local realtor a gorgeous home for us to work throughout the morning in...The story does speak to some of the differences and similarities of the Nikon D90 and Canon 5D Mark II right here - just thought you would like to know...In case you missed it, I also have links...

As I said in my text on that page, the D90 plus Nikkor 18-200mm is a bit more expensive than the GH1 kit, and remember it won't do 1080p, nor does it have a flip-out screen...I think those results were actually very positive for the GH1, considering the D90 is the best in its class for low noise...As I said in my text, the actual real-life detail recorded by the D90 and GH1...

Too bad I already have an assortment of Canon lenses...I don't know how to put it, but when its done right it looks really good...I'm curious though; a lot of people have said the lens that comes with the D90 isn't very good...
