Well I've always used the logic of noise reduction blurring the details down to the level of a lower mp camera anyway so a noisy 13mp image is equal to a clean 6mp image if you ask me...40 Days til a long hiatus from cameralabs...The big new feature is built-in GPS...

Can someone advise me how to print a copy...Actually my fault as well, as I did a bad conversion from Degrees Minutes and Seconds to decimal - does the P6000 allow you to choose the format of the GPS data i.e...decimal) 40.34722 instead of 40º 20' 50" style otherwise I will be doing a lot of this...

If you had done the side by side tests I did a month ago, you'd be horrified at the fall-off in quality at 400 ISO...Was in Jessops at teh weekend and the guy told me he never recommends the Nik 5100, because of complaints about picture quality...TBH I've come to the conclusion that sometimes the 'noise problem' is actually made worse/more obvious by rather clumsy attempts to alleviate it...

I just received a P6000 and the raw (NRW) files work just fine with Adobe Camera Raw 4.6 in Photoshop Elements...But overall it's a lot better camera than your blurb indicates...On the other hand, the P6000 was still interesting due to the built-in viewfinder and the supposedly high ISO range...Too bad the latter pretty much turned out to be bull, just as usual...
www.alphamountworld.com
The P5000 and P5100 whilst good, didn't have RAW and were slow...The one area where I think they (and the new P6000) will succeed is in the handling...I guess we should really wait to see the images before completely dismissing the P6000, but I'd be surprised if it was anything other than what we've already said...The P6000 is simply an absolute joke, in my humble opinion...
