My supervisor (who knows nothing about multimedia) REALLY wants us to go the HD route, but I don't think that's a good solution for us at this point in time due to the fact that we send everything out on Beta...documentary-style shooting with quick turnaround (capturing and editing need to be completed in under an hour, something I currently do with our miniDV footage...

It is the mini 3.5 and is unbalanced...I have the DVX100a (almost identical), and I believe one of the "cons" listed is incorrect...Panasonic 3CCD User - AG-HSC1U vs AG-DVX100b...

It's good to have fellow filmmakers to talk shop with and what not...Welcomes aside, I just recently worked as an AD on a short film titled "Awakening" here in Connecticut for a good friend of mine and budding DP...I'm going to be shooting a short in May and am planning to use this camera because it's just that good...Right now the DVX-100 is the best looking thing out there...

I found this forum discussing XL2 and DVX100B...enjoy the clip, it certainly helps us compare the XL2 and the DVX100B with the available footage...cos if it is, I think its pretty good as it is...Anyone else who's worked with the DVX100B pls comment too...
