the FZ7 vs FZ20, I'm also looking for pretty fast shooting times, for non-serious sports fotos, pics of the kids on the move, etc...Am hoping the much newer FZ7, for example, would show improved performance in this area...Only 6 images but it gives a good idea of quality...

I'm very close to getting an FZ7, but couldn't over look the S5200 from Fuji which is about $70 cheaper...I've found the FZ7 for $310 and the S5200 for $240...I'm going to use the camera for a little bit of everything (got rid of a Kodak zoom-er because it didn't have enough features), so I need a good all around camera...My concern about the S5200 is that it doesn't...

I have charged and used it twice so far and so did the original one too...I wouldn't mind if the battery had a shorter life as long as it worked but it doesn't fit at all with Panasonic Lumix FZ28! What a waste of money even if just for a few dollars...The battery hold the charge for quite long and has short charging time...
