My only problem with this blu ray was the movie; but if you're a fan of the movie, then I highly recommend...Stephen, To tell you the truth, I did not see the red light coming out of the optical cable when it was on...We see that you do not have JavaScript enabled...

Regular DVD's do not look as grainy, but they do not seem to look as good as the LG upconverting DVD player I had before- although the sound is better (THX on the Disney DVD's...I rented Spirit, and it's looks very very good...I might be missing something about the settings on the Yamaha, or maybe it's my TV, maybe it's Yamaha's 1.1 HDMI, or maybe the player is bad...

DO NOT BUY THIS!!! IT HAS MANY ISSUES AND DELL HAS REMOVED IT FROM THEIR WEBSITE BECAUSE OF ALL THE ISSUES...How do you come to the conclusion that T-Mobile has the worst network coverage...I want a safe flash memory I can use in my pocket, on my key ring or behind my ID badge...

I will come right out and say the Panasonic DMP-BD60 is easily the current King for the $299 and under crowd...The BD60 did put out a better overall image than the others I listed which is why I put it at the top in this price range...I've seen both a 1 GB, and as quoted here, a 2 GB SD card required for the DMP-BD60...

The picture is very good with the Blu-ray discs, and we have not had any problems with it...In all, we like this blu-ray player very much and for the price we felt it was a good deal and a good product...We got this Blu-ray player for a good price to replace a regular DVD player that was not working well...
