I have looked through the manual and perhaps I missed something, but in some VCRs I have had, I could remove an index mark made when a new recording is started...I am referring to a DVD-R disc...If I touch the time slip button by mistake, there is no way to reverse that, is that correct...

A number of posts have indicated that the Region Free hack on this site will work for my Panasonic DMR-ES25 DVD recorder...I followed the instructions and they appear to have worked in that the DVD recorder did perform a reset and the message that was displayed after inserting a region 2 DVD changed...

The LP quality is very good for my needs...Nevertheless, overall as a simple DVD recorder, I'd rate this as a very good machine...Overall, it's not a bad recorder for the price...

I have had my Panasonic (stand-alone) model DMR-ES25 for a year now...If I have to replace it, I'll find a better recommender than cnet.com...

The first one I picked up was unresponsive when playing DVD's...I verified this by taking my cheap APEX DVD player and the same disc worked fine in it! Also, recording was very...I remember when Panasonic used to make good products...I checked out different models and all have pros & cons, but this one seemed to be the one I needed...
