To be honest, HDV is a horrible codec and most pros hate it...It also gives you an introduction to timecode, which is a good way to think about media...Does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with this camera...

I was looking at Panasonics new camcorders such as the HDC-SD20 which seemed nicely priced at $549 until I realized that unlike the HF100 it doesn't seem to have a 30P mode...Anyway I also noticed that the sensor resolution at 1.17 effective pixels doesn't seem high enough for HD so is it using some sort of interpolation...

The recorded audio is not bad at all actually it is quite good...Good video quality and the convenience of having both hard disk and DVD in...The on screen menu is easy to use and overall, for the price for a full HD camcorder..it's pretty good...
