This camera can shoot in HDV but editing HDV you need a super powerfull computer...For the price, it looks quite good...I know it is bowling but hey just look at the quality of the footage and it is compress to Flash Video...

Max data rate is only 13Mbps/CBR compared to 25Mbps/CBR with HDV but the avoidance of tape and 3CCDs may make that a moot point...If you watch the new Apple media event Steve Jobs plugs the Panasonic HDC-SD1 video cam and said it's fully supported by the new iMovie...I was just curious, when Steve Jobs said iMovie supports it, how do you get the footage from the cam or the SD card...

Imovie 08 reads it (DISC only-not card) but when exported to the only formate that my Final Cut Express can read...Under than select 1280x720p at 60fps and this will create a file that can be viewed with Windows Media Player and on my 21.6" Samsung looks about as good as the AVCHD file...This is because HD is still not really mature and the Studio capability is simply a "stopgap" solution until someone...
