I've just bought myself a new camcorder, the Pana NV-gs230 which should replace my 7 years old NV.DS30...After having read tons (or MB) of reviews I ended up with two cams within financial range - the Sony DCR-HC48 (47E in Denmark) and the Panasonic NV-GS230...The LCD and menues however was, and the IR Super Night shot was surprisingly good...It provides...

Hi i am sure that windows doesn't tru to autostart any app...The problem is that avid don't see my camera...video and audio from fire wire 1394...

connected by a gold plated miniDV to Firewire cable...It all imports fine and everything but the quality doesn't seem to be very good, I'm wondering weather there is a setting in iMovie that will help...When iMovie exports the movie as a .dv the quality is poor, but if I recode the video to a .mp4 h.264 using iSquint, then the quality improves quite a bit...
