I did read a head to head comparison a while back...Either way, they are both good units...The Sanyo seems to have an overall sharper image when put side by side...

Guys, I just got the Hd 6800 (hd72) from Costco...I watched 2-3 films with it, then when to a shop carying the 900 and watched the same 3 films (StarWars, IMAX Corel Reef, Bad Boys...or maybe my optoma was just a bad unit...Of course bad batches are found in most models no matter who manufactures it...

There is a excellent review thread on the avforums...Panasonic PTAE-900 projector vs PTAE-100 - The DVD Forums...The 900 obviously has a lot of advantages over the 100, the main one being that it is high-def, plus it also has a 50% longer predicted bulb life...

I am in some screen speculation for Panasonic AE900...I also have the AE900U projector but have only been running it for less than 3 weeks...It produced a nice picture but I was used to a brighter image since my previous LCD projector was the Panasonic PT-L720U which even at low brightness put out 1750 lumens so it took a little getting used to the AE900U...With that...

You could probably at least call them to see what it would cost to get the replacement parts...You should google the problem and see how other AE900 users solved it...After inspection by a projector specialist it was diagnosed as needing a new prism array......could anybody tell me how hard it would be to get a part for and possibly how much roughly it would cost please...
