I am looking at Panasonic SDR-H200 and Sony DCR-SR300 and am in the middle of decision of which one I should buy...I have tried Panasonic SDR-H18, which is a lower end of H200 version...H200 has 3M, which is not that high, but enough...I didn't have a chance to try DCR-SR300...

Two options I have noticed are Panasonic SDR-H200 or Sony DCR-SR200, but certainly I would be interested in other models as well...A 1CCD camcorder captures one color value and interprets the other two values, providing much less overall color depth, because the camera is essentially "guessing" at what the real color of everything in your shot should be...Other user's...

compiling a fiddly DVD which has taken 5 hours to convert and now another 3 hours to encode on iDVD...It is multistep and slow process, but it works...I wish to update to Leopard with iMovie 08 and hope it will support my camera better...

Maybe you are lucky in selling already compressed MPEG with this new price change, but I wouldn't bet on it...If I submit recompressed video (MPEG2) - do I submit rather constant or variable bit rates...Wide format is not native (I think) so you can forget about it...
