I have looked at the Panasonic SDR-S26K with a 70x optical, 3500 digital and the Sony DCR-SR47 with a 60x optical and 2000 digital, They are in the price range that I can spend...At a distance in the store, the Panasonic seemed a little sharper/clear than the Sony, but wondered about outside on open water/sunlight...

Why did you stick this in here...But I suggest you to make a short test to start with...The files on my sd-card are named ".mod" or ".moi...

Like an idiot I purchased a set of Region 2 THE SAINT monochrome DVDs, thinking that there was a place in Vancouver to buy a multi-region DVD player...I have a Panasonic DVD S26 player - is there a hack for this to make it multi-region...I already have the S26 so thought I'd just ask...Can you tell me which model I could buy that I could just type in a code for from the remote...

It is a gift for my son, so I haven't used it yet, but all parts were there and looked in good condition...Camera is in very good condition and all manuals were included...I thought to myself, it's in digital format, my digital cameras produce pretty decent video, so how bad can a digital camcorder be...
