It came with a non rechargable battery which was two AA's joined together...OK, my apologies, you mention it's a Pentax Optio 330GS in the title, just not in the text...

I went to use my little Optio the other day but when I turn it on all it gives is a black screen...Its almost like there is a lense problem, like an internal lense control is faulty...

After that whenever I tried to turn it on the camera beeped two times and nothing happened...This is the first problem I have ever had with this camera...I put in fresh batteries and still had the same result...

I am a digital camera beginner and spent a good few weeks searching the shops and online reviews and prices for a camera with at least 3 megapixels and 3x optical zoom...The Pentax is a truely pocket-sized camera, with enough weight to feel like a good quality camera but still quite light...
