My main motivation for buying the Pentax Optio 60 was that I was getting a lot of pixels at a reasonable price and it was a Pentax...The Optio joined my Finepix S7000 so I had a basis for comparison and my first impression was that the Optio had surprisingly good build quality and produces excellent detailed A4 prints using Kodak Premium glossy paper profiled (by me) with my Epson 310...

Having said that, the 6.0 megapixels provide impressive results if the light is good and some features, such as the super-macro, function quite well...Overall, I wouldn't say that the S60 should be avoided but I'd probably think twice if it was for me to buy...
