Pioneer DV-600 or Cambridge audio DVD87? | AVForums.com - UK Online

While I've heard only good things about its audio quality, I am quite worried by the number of reports of device failure/malfunction...Can't be all that bad then, can it...But Cambrige audio is normally as twice as expencive then Pioneer DV-600 and is usually known for the good CD and audio performance...

Pioneer DV-600AV was interesting for me because it has possibility to play DVD-Audio and SACD and it has got integrated decoder with analog output for 5.1...Quality of sound was pretty good with nice serve of acustic which i wasnt able to heat on my older players...I have enjoyed the old Pioneer DV 626D for many years but up dated my TV to Samsung 1080 capability...

Pioneer DV-600AV Upscaling DVD player. - Forums @ The Digital Fix

Thing is, when I used my EP30 to upscale, the level of detail would be just as good as when my LCD was scaling, but I'd get added artefacts...I've got one, but I'd be surprised if the upscaling PQ is as good as the Oppo 983H to be honest...It's pretty good, but I'm sure there must be better as sometimes it seems to upscale well yet at other times, not so good...
