Perhaps the coupon will only be good for the 5016...This is not to say that LCD's havent come a long way and that Sharp Aquos are not good TV's, because they are (and might surpass plasma in the near future), but right now you would be better off going with a plasma with anti-glare/reflection glass...A good deal for this TV but I've been told some of them are repackaged returns and Costco has a higher...

Having spent many hours at stores playing with the Sony 1080 XBR series LCD's, Hitachi Director series plasma's, and the Panasonic lineup, I finally ended up with what I consider the best display for "me" The PioneerPDP-5070HD...Would all that well done plus 1080P be a bad thing...but it'd be really bad on my wallet...Just a pretty panel that looks as good...
Pioneer omits all mention of the rs232 port on the non-elite models and specifically says that the feature is not supported on 5070...I searched using terms pioneer and rs232 (and model number, etc...It has rs232 info on the elite "PRO" models, but makes no mention of the PDP-5070...
