The Hitachi 55HDX99 is another great looking and performing plasma but some recent bad press regarding some units with a "flickering"problem has me looking elsewhere...This was the TV I wanted, but due to FS's stifling of competition by seeking out exclusives...over 200 they advertise...there was NO chance I'd consider it...Honestly, I can't see Pioneer lasting in the Plasma...

I have seen the 50" version of the Panny next to a 50" PRO1140HD and the Panny looks very nice...720p vs 1080p, is one of four main features that determine overall PQ and "resolution" is the least important of the four...If you are watching TV then I would say the pioneer would look better...

I have a chance to get a Pioneer plasma 6070 at a pretty good price, it is not 1080, how does it look with HD sources...Actually in the Magnolia store it is the 6071HD not the 6070HD - It is identical, I think...
