These speakers are like 4 years old, so finding a new set is like impossible, but i did it...I`d like to read some comments from other Pioneer owners...I feel that I'm just not on the level of the 59 TXI in which I can take full benefit of it...

I thank you all so much in advance......BTW, Does this reciever do good with full size speakers...Im using mainly JBLs 4311s, L26s, JBL Pro theaters, and a JBL Nothridge 35 center and an EV Theater rear...

Further to the Pioneer VSX-59txi/Sherwood Newcastle R-965 comparison, you are correct that Pioneer supports Firewire and THX Ultra...As tested by Tom Norton, both receivers had the same S/N and the Pioneer was a little bit more powerful--certainly less than 1 dB output per channel...There were two other big differences, the Pioneer EQ does not operate below...

If the remote thing bothers you and you are on the fence, for $1800 + shipping I'll throw in a brand new MX-850 universal remote with the receiver already programmed into it...Not big at all but there nevertheless...It's in great condition, the only thing is there is a small nick on the remote face...
