Some Mini DV camcorders offer much better quality and can be bought for about $200 or even less...As it stands, I wouldn't recommend it unless you rarely plan to shoot in bright sunlight...Despite its recent $50 price drop (the camcorder now lists for $149), this camcorder is still not a good buy...
