Don't know about the R10, but I bought the very similar R8 as a pocket toy camera...The R10 seems to sell for about £100 less than the GX200 over here in the UK - and the difference in IQ is probably accounted for at least in part by this price difference...

I think the 200EXR does have a market niche but I am bit perplexed that most people who understand why and how it does its HDR and high ISO noise will also know of other technologies - IMHO...By itself this isn't that bad, but it is 6mega that are pretty much comparable to any other 2009 camera in this price category if image is resized 50...But what's important, they do not look smeared like...

Now that's what I call a bike! The next thing to heaven would be to tour on this bike with a great camera on the back...Great review - but in your conclusion, what do you recommend that produces better pictures...This is the best digital camera I have so far...

The camera I was looking for had to be responsive, versatile, tough, and off course take good photos...What attracted me to the R10 was it's 7.1...Experienced only with Canon film and digital EOS cameras, a month-long daily testing of the R10's range of adjustments has been a happy one that yielded no glitches, disappointments nor awkward engineering functions...
