The SonicBLUE RioRiot is the newest MP3 toy under the Rio brand name...don't believe all the good press reviews from publishers and sites like Ziff Davis and Cnet...Overall, I really hated the RioRiot player...
If so, the drive works and the real problem is the Rio software...Sounds like the Rio isn't working - period...Does a drive appear in My Computer corresponding to the Rio...
they rudely told me they would never do such a thing with their player because file swapping is bad etc...In short, do not buy the RioRiot until they get a clue of what we consumers want and need in MP3 Players And to all of you that are giving this machine praise, you are either clueless or are on the RioRiot pay roll...Then it takes about half that time to get it in...
Jonathan used our newssubmit to tell us that Gear.Ign.com has a review on the RioRiot portable MP3 player with a 20 GB Harddrive and a huge 16 MB buffer to protect against skipping music...The design flaws in the RioRiot are disappointing but hell, I'm an Archos guy...
The music industry is just as bad...I just replaced my hundred-cd jukebox with the RioRiot...I ripped all the cds I love best and loaded their contents (minus the tracks I didn't like as well) onto the RioRiot...The same songs sound better from the RioRiot...I have too much good music already to need to give in to this paranoid, greedy, self-defeating...
