And the Carbon, is very thin but a good size, not too small...I've had nothing but good experiences with Rio, and I have owned 6 of their players...Player looks good, and is a viable solution for people who want a midrange capacity player, and really does add a whole new category for mp3 players...

Well, to put it more accurately, I didn't have any bad luck with my R CA Lyra RD1071, it just had an unfortunate meeting with a subway terminal floor...The soundis about average of a normal mp3 player, and the earbuds are bad comfort i suggest a set of koss plugs or any sony earbuds...Highly recommended for the mini-MP3 player shopper...

The controls won't wow you, but the size and usability is very good...A local FYE didn't have this model but a local Strawberry's (same company) did...Don't compare this player to a new sansa or nano player, but for a simple good sized player, this is worth it in my opinion...
