As I reported on Friday, I was having troubles with the HDMI output on the Samsung BD-P1000 Blu-ray Disc player...The final issue, is what I consider to be a problem with the BD-P1000's HDMI output video quality in general...We began by connecting both the BD-P1000 and the Elite BDP-HD1 to a pair of side-by-side, matching 50-inch plasma displays...

I have devices which display 1080i and the new Samsung BDP-1000...When I press info with the Samsung BDP-1000 I see 1920x1080@60, and the picture quality is phenomenal...So for a quick summary with for all the message skimmers, BDP1000 does 1080p just fine if you have a set that has 1080p@60 (fps) inputs via HDMI...The FW update went well and easy, I thought about doing it a second time...

Will a profile 1.0 player still play all new Blu discs, but simply be unable to play the interactive content...Question about Samsung BD-P1000 - Message Board - DVDTOWN.com...I have an opportunity to pick one of these up for $175, in box...

These discs played back on the BD-P1000 resulted in a stuttering or breakup in the image with the DTS track selected...I think samsung should send all p-1000 owners a copy of the updates as they come out...We all paid good money for this player and should not have a disc player that was only good for a year or less...
