I see FutureShop has the Samsung DVD-R130 DVD recorder in the current flyer (April 21...I see it has video, and DV inputs, which is good...My Samsung DVD R-130 started to develop problems a couple of weeks ago...Was still under warranty, called Samsung, then faxed receipt to Samsung to confirm proof of purchase, they paid to have it sent back...

Now unless the disc has already been formatted on the unit, I get this error everytime I try to format a new DVD-RW disc "the disc cannot be played please check disc" I've tried several diffrent brands of DVD-RW's but no go...No information may be posted elsewhere without written permission...Samsung Dvd-r130 Givin Me The Blues - AVS Forum...

The Fujitsu RWs were problematic, or so I thought, but I now think it's the machine...Overall this unit has worked well for me the last few months...And this leaves us with the lock ups that occur when these bad things happen...

I'm going back to my Sony and Panasonic brands for the next DVD recorder...The Samsung DVD-R130 DVD Recorder is the worst dvd recorder ever made...You will have NOTHING with problems with it, and I can ASSURE you that, having read other reviews on it from all over the 'net, they are nearly UNIVERSALLY BAD on this trash can candidate, and experienced...
