The stats for the Samsung sound really good and the improvements from the A generation to the B generation look impressive, although there haven't been any professional reviews done on it yet...I've heard the V10's are good but since its going to in a cabinet paying the extra premium for a thin set is out and the G10's max out at 54" so the S1 is my only viable option from...

I Googled the problem, and found out that many were complaining of the same issue, and that these TV's are fitted with a bad power supply...Too bad we didn't spring for a bit more money & buy that one...Was a little worried about the red "touch of color," but it is hardly visible and actually adds a little to the good looks...

I don't think you can go wrong with this set...I also own a 52 inch Sony which took me a week to finally get the color tweaked the way I wanted it..I would definitely recommend this tv to others...Samsung LN40B650 40-Inch 1080p 120Hz LCD HDTV with Red Touch of Color...

It's been at the repair shop now for almost a month & according to the repair person,it has blown out 3 power regulators.They are gonna try once more before they call it a bad picture tube & say its now worth fixing...That's the bad news.The good news is that I did buy an extended warranty with it,& since it is still covered by it,I can have it replaced,with some restrictions...
