So I just bought a Samsung LN46A650 and I'm having trouble already...I'll be getting my HD cable box from Time Warner on Monday after work...I used a HDMI to HDMI cable and then I tried a DVI to DVI cable...

What the reviews seem to favor in this class is the Samsung LN46A650 (or 750) over the Sony KDL-46XBR6...BUT here's the kind of stuff that make me wonder if the image quality is really so good...

I believe I will have it by the end of this week though so stay tuned...I just wanted to say that after a few days of watching my tv with kevin millers calibration settings they are 100% much better than my settings...Maybe my eyes arent as good as the tools you use to figure out optimal calibrations for tv's...

If Samsung still randomly shuts down you have a bad Samsung...A tech made a housecall with a chip...If that doesn't do it then I recommend you call ts and have them schedule a visit to your home by a tech...

I'll be looking at the 40 inch one, but in general the Samsung 6 series looks better than the rest; for now at least...Saw it at Best Buy myself and I thought it looked amazingly good...the 6 series and Samsung LCD's in general have glossy bezels which might be distracting...
