Samsung ML-2510 mono laser printer not working out for me - CubeOwner Forums

My wife purchased this Samsung ML-2510 mono laser printer to connect to her PC laptop so she could work from home one day a week...Turns out, they were right as it is a darn good printer - it's black and white but for it's cost (around $80 I think) it sure has proven to be a work-horse in the past year of usage...So we decided to hook the Cube up to it too...

Yeah, you really CAN'T put a laser on a UPS - PERIOD...Pretty fast warm up to first page and a pretty good print speed...Every laser printer I own has done that...I think they are pretty power hungry devices...

If you enter the wrong code, a new image is created and you get another chance to enter it right...The driver doesn't support PCL so none of the other options worked for me...It screwed up file permissions horribly on my Ubuntu 6.10 box, resulting in a reinstall...

I chose this printer because I had had a good experience with the other Samsung and the price was excellent...I highly recommend, especially if you find it on sale! Installation was automatic under Windows XP Professional, so it was very easy to install...Only cons to it, as a lot of other laser printers have, is it needs a medium stack of paper in the paper tray...
