I am considering this set or the new Panasonic TC-P54G10...It is too bad they are so bad out of the box though as most people will likely not get a pro calibration, and that would leave the picture way off from an accurate picture...Plus, they make a very good plasma that excels some in black level for the price class...

I like the picture and sound quality for normal TV and its not bad for movies either...In terms of calibration, you really don’t need to spend $400 to have someone calibrate the TV to make it look good...Blu-ray movies are absolutely beautiful, and standard DVDs upscaled by my PS3 don’t look bad either...
