The video player is excellent; the quality is sharp and clear...However, I have read some reviews of the 270 and 280 and they're not as good as the 250 or 260s...The sound quality won't be as good...

I can obviously just remove the battery to use as a spare for his other one (or mine, which is waaaaaay older and still going strong with barely a scuff), but can I somehow save the memory, too...The first one also has a loose headphone socket, so he has to hold the prong just right to get L/R sound...The second--an 8GB version--has a screen that looks to have been the victim of some sort of...
