Probably, but the cord exceeds 4' IIRC...Although, as in-ear "buds", the CX300's aren't quite up to snuff with "monitor" solutions from Shure, Etymotic, etc...Then if you mean if the CX300 can support the flash player in that manner, then probably not, 3.5mm plugs aren't meant to support an weight...
and overall built quality is much much better compared to the inferior EX71's...I had to replace everyone of my EX71's due to having bad insulating component, rubber that protects the wiring that is...
