I'd say the DP2 is not as good as the G10...The Sigma DP2 will have better image quality than the Canon G10 because it uses a image sensor that is almost as big as the image sensors they use in DSLRs...

However, user reviews on the DP2 are enticing me as well...Originally I had thought that since this camera is best in bright light, I'm more likely to use it for outdoors/landscape/architecture/tourist types of shots, and so according to this line of thought, I should get the DP1...For those who have both, would you recommend the DP1 or DP2 to someone like me...

ie - as good as a DLab can print out currently and you literally need to hold it 2 inches from your eye to see any defects in the print...For what the DP2 is though, it clearly blows pocket cameras out of the water and does a great job of taking every day type shots...I can't speak for the DP2 as I don't have one but it does have the same sensor as the DP1 which I purchased recently...

Now the DP2 is out, with their new processor that is twice as fast (as I have seen reported, although still not lighting quick but tolerable) and it has a 41mm lens at F2.8 and an iso 50-1600 (the DP1 was 100-800 iso...I would not be upset with the unit taking a few seconds to load and get ready for the next image, and since the new DP2 can take 3 images in a row in raw I think it is...
