The CDX-C90 has an ESRP of $1200 and the XDP-4000X is about $1000...The CDX-C90 is in excellent condition and the XDP-4000X only has a few scratches on the lower right hand corner...

It just did not seem like what Eclipse was known for anymore, so I went for an "unusual" change, a SonyCDX-C90 ES Reference CD player...All I have to say is I am very pleased with the C90, and now I know why people are nuts over this deck...However, I may pick up a spare C90 just to have, since the parts to fix this thing are expensive...
The Sony has a good sensitive front end & multiple IF amp settings...I also listen the FM a lot and wanted something with good signal quality close to my home Tuner a Dennon TU-800 (sorry not interested in SAT...It's in good shape, but then again I only had in a vehicle for about three years...
I also have pictures! Let me know......In short, your implication/assertion that the dealer markup was ~$700 for that unit is off base and inaccurate as well as irrelevant...I have a brand new sony ES CDX-C90 and a Sony ES 848 10 disc cd-changer...
