The Sony has a good sensitive front end & multiple IF amp settings...I also listen the FM a lot and wanted something with good signal quality close to my home Tuner a Dennon TU-800 (sorry not interested in SAT...It's in good shape, but then again I only had in a vehicle for about three years...

It just did not seem like what Eclipse was known for anymore, so I went for an "unusual" change, a SonyCDX-C90 ES Reference CD player...All I have to say is I am very pleased with the C90, and now I know why people are nuts over this deck...However, I may pick up a spare C90 just to have, since the parts to fix this thing are expensive...
The only negatives are the screen is hard to read in day light (not too bad with tinted windows) and their are 2 boxes to be mounted behind the unit so space is limited with my 4 RCAs CD Changer Cable+RCA...But the overall sound is 5x's better and clearer than my old deck...This thing is great to bad winters coming and im probably gonna park the accord very soon...
I also have pictures! Let me know......In short, your implication/assertion that the dealer markup was ~$700 for that unit is off base and inaccurate as well as irrelevant...I have a brand new sony ES CDX-C90 and a Sony ES 848 10 disc cd-changer...
