The vid card controls definitely extend the range of the monitor controls but it doesn't really help...I should've thought of that myself...I need for the black to be a true black while the bright colors are still bright...

Run, not walk, and get it! I'm using the E400 (a little bit cheaper and 19") and love it! But beware, it seems like alot of these monitors are DOA and have to be changed...It isn't a 21", but it is a 19...But, if it's refurbished then I think everything is ok...
