I got a new sound system, the DAV-FX900W, I got it from Future Shop (owned by Best Buy) for $699 CDN, is it worth it...meaning if I plug this into a Blu Ray player, will I get good qualioty sound...

It took about an hour to open the box, unpack it and assemble the speakers...This is a very good system for the price point...Admittedly I'm not an audiophile, but I know good sound when I hear it...

It retails @ 999 and FS is offering for $700 which I thought is a good deal...That's good that everything worked out for you, To connect your Rogers i would still use Analogue RCA (red and white ) cables as some channels transmit thru optical intermittently or not constant...But the output is not good as I would get from playing a DVD direct...
