For a start, dpreview has done quite a good preview this time...Don?t get me wrong, I think that the A900, overall is a very competent system and represents good dollar value...If you are not presently committed to any particular system, the Sony A900 is a good choice...

Noise-Ninja may be a good software, but other than sensor noise, film grain is not an artefact...sometimes we see photographer's talking about get "a good scanner" or "bad scans" for film...Like I said, the grain reduction is very good as you will have to zoom to at least 200% to see evidence of it...

I'm not sure that a grand and a half for a camera can ever be considered good value, but it costs significantly less that its main rivals...the review is on how the A900 performs as a 'full format' DSLR because that is what it is...Previous favourites amongst this hard working class of 'pros' were the also unfashionably-branded Fuji DSLR's for the same reason...
