Years and years ago, I bought my brother a Sony DVP-C650D 5-disc DVD player for his birthday (back before DVDs blew up and the price for this model was around $700-$800...I've tested the machine out on various video inputs, two different TVs, and used two different cable sets, all of which are known to be good, and gotten the same result...Thankfully, it seems to have standard...
