YoS, Sony recommends the calibration (or re-calibration) of their professional-line of screens...not that thats bad, its still a very good screen...Nothing like finding good buys for SG members...

Monitor repair forum: Sony GDM-F500: OSD menu will not disappear.
The arrorw for the contrast is always flashing (stuck) like its attempting to turn up the contrast...Took off the front panel from the crt and noticed a hairline fracture on the H1 board...When I turn on the monitor (thats hooked to the pc) the OSD menu immediatedly pops up and will not disappear...

I am only looking at 17" trinitron models, used...Has sony discontinued production of CRT...SonyGDM-C520K Artisan 22" and Nec FP2141SB 22" Both come highly recommended and have received good reviews from Cadalyst and other magazines...
