dont matter because its not good footage no matter what! The problem here is people are more concerned with getting the critter and showing how great they are then getting the footage right, sad but true, and the reason many fail to make it in tv or video...The bottom line is GREAT footage needs light boys and girls...The XH-A1 is as good in low light situations as any 1/3" CCD camera...

As long as the FX-1000 has a mini audio jack with manual levels and a good pre-amp, all is well...In terms of overall features, the closest competitor to the XH-A1 is the Sony V1U...And the XLR/overall sound on the Canon is not earth shattering anyway...
