I went there knowing the Canon wasn't available yet so I just picked up the Sony HDR-HC5 (4MP Camera version of HC7 I believe)instead and just planned on returning once getting back home and getting the Canon...Focus was horrible, especially at the wide end, colors were average, overall resolution was just not there...Now I can't comment on the Sony HDR-HC7,...

I've been told it has a carl zeiss lens.And although I didn't feel that held...Initially when I bought this I didn't realise it was a touchscreen operated camera.However the touchscreen features are so easy to use it hasn't posed a problem at all,and alot of my family are quite impressed by how 'advanced' it appears to be! In daylight I have found the...colour and performs brilliantly.Even my old dvs...

Those are display formats not intended for editing...So if you want to edit in HDV, make sure you shot your tape in HDV mode, not DV mode, and make sure i.LINK CONV is OFF and VCR is set to AUTO on the cam...Sony hdr-hc5 HD footage conversion - High Def Forum - Your High Definition Community & High Definition Resource...

Now that i think of it, i dont think Neil is shipping his adapters currently, but any adapter (such as worleys) would work with the same principle...I have this camera, but I'm a total noob...help...Whilst Neil is unable to take orders, I have the parts to make a very small quantity of static adapters...
