I'll be sitting 8-9 feet away in a room which has alot of light and would like a TV with good enough sound built in so I don't have to add a stereo in the room...Are all the new features on the KDL-40V4100 worth the extra money...I don't think so as it is just sales hype and other brands have many of the same features and just as good if not better picture quality for less...

So far the 4100 has gotten good reviews everywhere I've seen...there may be heretofore undiscovered bugs, and b)it's a Sony--I've had mixed luck with their consumer products...FYI, I've already read through the reviews on Circuit City, Best Buy, Amazon and cNet's sites...

The Panny plasma's looked good but the lcd works better in my bright room...I mean the last thing you want to go thru is to receive the tv, find out the sparkles annoy you and have to send it back to amazon and wait till they receive it issue you credit etc...If you want a good 40" lcd i would suggest a sony XBR4 or XBR5...

Mode=Std, Backlight=4, picture=75, bright=50, color=50, hue=R1, temp=warm2, sharpness=10, noise/mpeg=low, and turn off all advanced settings...Certainly good enough for day-to-day TV watching...Search google for more recommendations or just play around with it some until you find what works best for your use...

It’s actually called an ePad Laptop Desk available at Brookstone...This would be awesome for listening to audiobooks throughout the house...I want a safe flash memory I can use in my pocket, on my key ring or behind my ID badge...
