I have the convergence problem with my KP-57WS510 mentioned on this and other threads...I just want to make sure no other part is bad before I swap out the ICs and apply power...I have the same problem with my Sony KP-57WS510 wide screen tv...

Both are good entry level sets and quite tweakable...Sony KP57WS510 or Hitachi 57F500A? - AVS Forum Archive...I'll have a HDTV receiver with my DirecTV HD receiver so I don't need one built in...

I don't really notice a difference between the HDMI/DVI cable and component video cables as far as quality goes, but I'll keep switching back and forth and see if I can notice anything...OK, checked the comcast settings and they were pretty good already (screen type: 16x9, 1080i, 4:3 override = 480p...Its my first HD-capable tv, so as soon as I bought it I ran down to Comcast and picked up their HD/DVR...

I have not an HDTV nor a component adapter...I've plugged my laptop directly in to my 36" CRT Panasonic, as well as the plasma with good results...Audioeric when this HDTV first has a problem it may be the set is finished, since they stopped making tubes and all other necessary cap and diodes close to 2 years ago...
