I agree that Canon's ergo isn't great, but don't hate everything Canon and Nikon just because they're top dog right now...I know there are used Minolta lenses, but if you need to go used to get a fair price, it's not a good sign...In terms of image quality, the quality from Canikon really are the best of the bunch, while Sony's bad noise reduction algorithm is killing...
It is funny how people get excited about higher megapixel when we all have learned (or should have) that there are very few situations where it gives us an advantage...The A350/A300 are the slowest SLR cameras on the market with only 2/2.5 fps...Anyone wants to guess how the A900 will perform in terms of speed...
I would pair this SonyA900 along with my 1DsIII if its only $2.5K(why the the hell not relative to its specs and price...I use Zeiss lenses on my Hasselblad H2 and can vouch for their quality (and Sony is the only source of good AF Zeiss lenses...
If Sony would release an ad, they would at least include an image of the final A900...After having seen this ad another time, I though of creating my own version...on the prototype image of the A700, taken from the same angle, there were more letters and icons, so I copied that and put it on the A900...I'd like to hear what you think of my work...
You have a good point; as a first release this is a pretty impressive challenge to Canon and Nikon to eventually sell lower priced cameras with high end full frame sensors...Most concerning is outlined at the end of the review in the "cons" section regarding increasing ISO and noise...I'll talk to them about how many Xs is good to buy you...
