I hear the GUI is not nearly as good, but perhaps it won't be so buggy...Price point is good...what I'd like to know is how well this unit does upscaling of sources to 1080p...Feeling pretty good about it but there are a couple of issues that might cause me to try out something else out...

I recently bought a Sony STR-DA4300ES (I got it in a good deal - a friend of mine works as a contractor for Sony...Pretty disappointing as one of the reasons i went with this amp was the component->HDMI conversion...I called sony support and they just suggested i trade in my current amp for a new one under warranty (which is gonna be no good if its a systemic issue...

The five year warranty is awesome and you won't notice the difference in price as time goes by...I had been eyeing the Onkyo 705, but wanted to wait until more 1.3a receivers hot the market...Receivers are very stable components and last for many, many years...
