The iris closes on dark scenes to make darks darker and opens on bright scenes to improve lumens...Is this contrast ratio difference worth shelling out the extra cash...On a side note, the contrast ratio for the projector I am looking at is 6000:1 whereas with $100-150 more, I may be able to get its higher end model with a contrast ratio of 10000:1...

Is the difference in older technology (HD7100) vs newer (AW10) an issue...Anyway, I apologise if I came off as mean and I didn't want to imply that returning a new projector to a store with a 90 day return policy was immoral...Our room is 14-15' and we've chucked the screen and are temporarily using a sheet on the wall with ~110" view...
