I received my XDR-F1HD in the mail yesterday, but didn?t get a chance...The Sony sounds nice and clean with good high frequency...noticed that there was bad break up on voices of the announcers...The XDR-F1HD gets quite warm, but not alarmingly so...

Just picked up the XDR-F1HD and it's not bad...I've now lived with the XDR-F1HD for about a day...

One weak point is that the display doesn't dim out when the radio is turned off, another one is that the settings are lost when unplugged, and the final one is that it runs kind of too warm for such a small device (it needs good ventilation...Anyway, very good buy, compared with what's now on the market...It performes really well, it is very sensitive and very good looking among your audio gear...

Over the last 30+ years I have owned the Eico...With a tiny indoor antenna the little Sony XDR-F1HD brings in slews of very quiet, distortion free, full fidelity HD FM stations...On the contrary in ten years the big media conglomerates...

My Eico is modified to the 9th degree & not even a shadow exists of the original sonics as built from the factory...The Eico sounds like a good quality CD on a $100 CD player when listening to the right FM station...
