On the other hand, most upright pianos are not very good, either...I play mine with an E-mu Proteus, but the magic of Midi says that this keyboard will always sound as good as the latest and best sound module you can buy...

Touch sensitivity is good, it doesn't require slamming on the keyboard to get consistent notes out of it...I understood it, but I'm good at deciphering Roland manuals so that doesn't mean much...

The Fatar is solid (metal case) and while I cannot find any way to change the porported 8 velocity curves, the base curve is good enough for most apps...Those keyboards have a really spongey bed and their velocity is all over the map in inconsistency...Could those of you on this forum who use either one of these keyboards as a controller give some feedback as to whether they are good or not...
