It was between the Sony NAVU-U and TomTom 510...The cradle doesn't make a secure seal with the GPS unit- I kept seeing the green light go off letting me know it wasn't getting power from the lighter attachement in the car (not good) *I'm going to exchange it for another unit tomorrow...Well I ended up going with the Go 510 after all...Overall...

I got a tomtom 510 as an Xmas present and I've found that the USB dock is a bit choosy about when it will work or not (sometimes works as USB, sometimes just pops up with map...Yes, similar issue - not with a 510 though...I'd recommend you do the same...
