I would probably recommend Toshiba to other customers, but i probably would pass on the 50HM66...This replacement lamp is manufactured to fit the Toshiba 50HM66 projection TV...

The image still appears behind the line it is just noticeably darker...Is there anything i can do to adjust the screen or will i have to call for service...I find it very annoying now that i have noticed it...

The cooling fan was clean with sharp edges on each vane (wished the turbo wheel in my F250 looked that good...Let us know how it works out and Good Luck...Maybe I can put my $10K IFR SA to good use on this project rather than just communications electronics...

Fortunately, it is under warranty and Toshiba will replace the light engine and hopefully correct the problem for good...I've done some poking around and have found that many owners of the 50hm66 have experienced this problem...I wish I could recommend this item because of the great picture and its affordability, but this problem is a real show stopper...
